How Do We Deal With Permanent Residence for Refugee Claimants?
In April 2020, Olalere Law Office strongly advocated for the creation of a program to regularize the status of refugee claimants who constitute a core group of people working in the Canadian health care system and grant them permanent residence. Covid-19 was in full swing and refugee claimants who were health care workers were fighting the good fight. It was the least we could do.
On August 14, 2020, the Minister of Immigration responded to our advocacy and that of many well-meaning Canadian citizens, politicians and other advocacy groups. The Minister announced a temporary public policy to grant permanent residence to refugee claimants in Canada who fought the war against the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada.
On December 9, 2020, the Minister issued further instructions on this program. We are happy to hear the great news and stand ready to help you and /or your family members achieve your dream of becoming permanent residents in Canada.
If you are a pending refugee claimant or a failed refugee claimant who is a health care worker providing direct care to seniors or persons with disabilities in Canada, we may be able to help you in your application for permanent residence if you meet the strict requirements.
We will conduct a free preliminary assessment to determine if you are eligible to apply under this temporary public policy to grant permanent residence to refugee claimants in Canada who fought the war against the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada.
Don't wait because you have s short time frame to apply under this temporary policy. Please contact us today.
